With War Parties happening next week and Fall Forward events coming up in October, you may be doing some traveling soon. The time you spend waiting in the airport or riding in a car or plane is valuable time you can use to improve yourself and get even more fired up about the Alliance. Below are some tips to help you make the most of your travels.
This is a great time to catch up on the books Andy Albright has recommended. If you haven’t read the August books of the month, Winning with People by John C. Maxwell and Skill with People by Les Giblin, you should bring those with you to read while you travel. If you’re driving, you may want to pack some audio books; the NAA Store has Andy’s books on audio CDs as well as other books he’s recommended. Reading (and listening) can help you grow and improve and the books from Andy’s Book Club will help you get even more fired up about National Agents Alliance and the upcoming events!
Watch The Wednesday Call
Even if you’re not traveling on a Wednesday, you can still watch archived recordings of The Wednesday Call and other training calls and shows. If you have a smartphone, laptop, or tablet with Wi-Fi or a data plan, you can watch or listen to videos and calls on www.naa-tv.com. Whether you missed a show, or want to watch them again, traveling can give you the free time you need to get more training from National Agents Alliance.
While you’re waiting in the airport or just riding along, you could be setting goals for yourself or evaluating how much progress you’ve made in achieving the goals you’ve already set. This is a great time to break out a blank sheet of paper and think about the steps you can take to get closer to your goals. You could even set goals for what you’d like to accomplish by attending the National Agents Alliance events.
If you’ve been working non-stop, it might be time to sit back and relax. If you haven’t been eating healthy foods or getting enough sleep, use this time to give your body a break. Pack a healthy snack or buy a healthy meal at the airport and avoid making pit stops at fast food restaurants – you’ll feel more energized and refreshed if you treat your body to something healthy. If you haven’t slept well or have been stressed out, you may want to use this time to close your eyes and rest (if you’re not driving, of course). Sometimes the best ideas will come to you after you’ve let your brain relax for a while.
We hope that these tips will help you get pumped up while you’re traveling to the War Parties and Fall Forward events! War Parties will be in 18 cities between September 9th and 11th. Fall Forward will be October 4-6 in Los Angeles, CA and October 18-20 in Burlington, NC. For more information about these events, visit www.allianceeventures.com.
